Louise Casemore
Playwright

LOUISE CASEMORE is an arts advocate, prairie nuisance, and two-time Sterling Award winning playwright. She is the recipient of the ATP/Enbridge Playwright’s Award, was shortlisted for the inaugural John Palmer Award from the Playwright’s Guild of Canada, and is an Edmonton Artist Trust Fund honoree. Original plays include OCD (Canadian tour), GEMINI (Edmonton Fringe, High Performance Rodeo, Next Stage Toronto), Undressed (Alberta Theatre Projects), and recently LUCKY CHARM (an immersive evening with the wife of Harry Houdini) with Found Festival/Theatre Yes. Louise remains active in the national community by way of dramaturgy, teaching Interdisciplinary Arts at MacEwan University, and sector research; and in 2021 she released the long-range national study on new play development, “Surveying The Landscape” (commissioned by Alberta Playwright’s Network). She is a member of the Playwright’s Guild of Canada, LMDA, the Citadel Theatre Dramaturgy Lab, and completed an MFA in Theatre Practice with a specialization in Playwriting for Immersive Theatre from the University of Alberta. Louise proudly sits on the Board of Concrete Theatre, is Company Manager for the Banff Centre Playwright’s Lab, and is working hard on a handful of new plays that do their best to keep her up at night.

EMMA TIBALDO is Artist in Residence at Concordia University, and a Director and Dramaturg. She is the former Artistic and Executive Director of Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal, where for fourteen years, she dramaturgically collaborated on many plays, including Mizushōbai by Julie Tamiko Manning, Thy Woman’s Weeds by Erin Shields, Jabber by Marcus Youssef, Squawk by Megan Gail Coles, Instant by Erin Shields, I am Genius, Does Anyone Here Know Me? by Lois Brown, and Behaviour by Darrah Teitel.

Emma is a recipient of LMDA’s Elliott Hayes Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dramaturgy, and the Conseil Québécois du théâtre Prix Sentinelle.  She is a graduate of Concordia University’s Theatre Department, and NTS’ Directing Program. She feeds her inner punk rocker by playing in basement bands The Tibaldos and The Dépanneurds.

Amanda Goldberg
Director

AMANDA GOLDBERG is a director, dramaturg and the Artistic Producer of SkirtsAfire Festival.

Originally from Tiohtià:ke/Montreal, she is an honors graduate from Dawson College’s Professional Theatre program, Concordia University’s Theatre and Development program, and University of Alberta’s MFA Directing program. Recent directing credits: Dance Nation (SkirtsAfire Festival), Bea (Shadow Theatre), Twelfth Night (Freewill Shakespeare), Brontë, Phaedra’s Love and Belleville (University of Alberta). Recent assistant directing credits: Citadel Theatre’s Network and The Fiancée, and Segal Centre’s Indecent.

In spring 2026, Amanda will make her regional theatre debut directing Jessy Ardern’s new adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac at Citadel Theatre. Before that, she is thrilled to direct the first public reading of Louise Casemore’s Put Your Lips Together – with enormous gratitude to the entire team for being courageous enough to fuck around and find out.

Anna Kuman
Choreographer

ANNA KUMAN is an interdisciplinary director, choreographer, intimacy and movement director. Over the span of her career, she has worked for some of Canada’s largest regional theatres such as the Citadel Theatre, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Stage West Calgary and has been part of over 15 productions at The Arts Club. Internationally, she has worked as a mass movement choreographer for large-scale events with mass casts of over 8,000 performers, such as the Rio 2016 Paralympic Opening Ceremony, and as resident director/ choreography team member for daily productions at Expo 2020 Dubai.

A passionate movement and dance educator, Anna holds an MFA in Movement Direction and Teaching from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (UK). In the past, she has been a guest faculty member at prestigious post-secondary arts conservatories in the UK and Canada such as the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Arts Ed, Capilano University and Studio 58. She is honoured to join the ranks of the esteemed faculty here at MacEwan.

Dayna Lea Hoffmann

Dayna Lea Hoffman (she/her) is a biracial actor and multidisciplinary artist based in amiskwaciwâskahikan ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ. She is a graduate of the UofA’s BFA Acting Program and Douglas College’s Theatre Diploma and currently works with Thou Art Here Theatre as the Artistic Leadership Mentee. She tours and produces with her co-owned company, Batrabbit Collective where she performs as Fingers in Rat Academy and Rat Academy 2, Gnaw and Order, nationally acclaimed award-winning clown shows. For their upcoming tour, both shows will be returning to Edmonton this Spring at Rapid Fire Theatre and Theatre Network!

Coralie Cairns (she/her) is an award-winning actress who calls Edmonton home. Maya Baker

Maya Baker is an Edmonton-based theatre artist and is thrilled to be here at Skirts-A-Fire! She is a graduate of MacEwan University’s Theatre Arts Program and you may have seen her as Fanny in “A Christmas Carol” at the Citadel Theatre, and Margot in “Legally Blonde” at Theatre Calgary/Citadel Theatre. Her other recent credits are, Annelle in “Steel Magnolias” at the Globe Theatre, Flounder in “The Little Mermaid” at Persephone Theatre, many characters in “Clue” at the Citadel Theatre and Jack in “Jack and the Beanstalk” for Alberta Musical Theatre Company’s school tour around Alberta. 

Beth Graham

Beth Graham is an actor, playwright, and dramaturg with a passion for new work. As an actor, Beth has played on stages across Canada and toured internationally. As a playwright, she has been shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award (The Gravitational Pull of Bernice Trimble) and received the Gwen Pharis Ringwood Literary Award (The Drowning Girls). This past fall, Beth was the writer-in-residence at Grant MacEwan University. In April, Beth will be performing a self-created dance piece with BWDC. 

Maija Corrigan

Maija Corrigan (she/her) is an Indigenous artist in her third-year pursuing her Musical Theatre BFA at MacEwan University. She was thrilled to assist in the initial movement exploration of this project and equally thrilled to continue to engage with this project further. Recent show credits: Santana/Ensemble (Monoceros, MacEwan), Beulah/Ensemble (Come From Away, MacEwan Workshop) , Queen Maureen (Between the Lines, Nuova), and Lady Rowena (Once Upon A Mattress, Nuova). Maija believes theatre inspires, heals, and connects everyone by sparking creativity and conversation.
