The Shoe Project’s mission is to advance education by providing programs, courses, workshops and seminars to immigrant and refugee women to develop their written and oral skills, as well as their leadership skills. For information on last year’s project and participants, click here.

SkirtsAfire is producing The Shoe Project at Walterdale Theatre for 2026, in partnership with YWCA Edmonton. SkirtsAfire acknowledges Workshop West Playwrights’ Theatre for being the first organization to bring the Edmonton initiative of “The Shoe Project” to fruition in 2021.
