What a fantastic night! The Mercury Room was the perfect venue for Skirtoberfest. The room was alive with laughter, music and conversation. We had more than 110 people out to celebrate. The tacos were a real hit, and the tequila flowed all night. The Yana Loo trio were so fabulous to listen to, and Kimberley MacGregor rocked the house and gained some new fans with her powerhouse vocals and provocative lyrics. Stephanie Lilley from VIVA dance amazed us all with her solo dance that took our breath away.
From SkirtsAfire, HerArts Festival Director, Annette: “I think my favorite thing about Saturday night was that it didn’t feel like a fundraiser, but simply a really great night out on the town. We did however raise more money than we bargained for which will be a huge help to this year’s SkirtsAfire HerArts Festival. We look forward to seeing everyone come out again March 10-13, 2016!”
Our thanks to everyone who made SkirtOberfest 2015 a smash success! From our hardworking board, to our talented artists, to our generous silent auction donors, to the audience who came out to celebrate – you made it a night to remember!
Check out a few great photos below care of festival photographer Keanna Hiebert.
Thanks to our incredible silent auction donors – your generous support helped make this our most successful fundraiser to date!
